How to use Endless U

1. Open ChatGPT.
2. Go to Settings > Plugins.
3. Search for "Endless U" and connect it.

If you're already signed in on the Endless U site, connecting signs you in automatically, same account, nothing extra to do. If you're new, it lets you create an account right there, no separate signup step first.

Once it's connected, you're set, every prompt below just works in any regular ChatGPT chat. You don't need to reopen the plugin or find a special screen, just start a new chat (or keep using the one you're in) and type.

In any ChatGPT chat, tell it what you want to learn:

It'll draft a course outline, modules broken into small lessons, and check it with you before saving anything. As part of that, it'll ask whether to make the course public or private (more on that below), so decide when asked rather than after the fact. Ask it to adjust the outline if something's missing or you want to go deeper on one part, nothing is final until you say so.

Not sure what to learn?

Once a course is saved, it teaches you the first lesson right away. Ask questions, get confused, go on tangents, your teacher is right there one on one for as long as you need:

When you're ready to move on, just say so:

It marks the lesson complete and teaches the next one immediately. Come back anytime, even days later:

and it'll pick up exactly where you left off.

Lists everything you've started, with your progress on each.

When you create a course, it'll ask whether to make it public or private. We encourage public: it lets other people discover and learn from it too, and it's what unlocks a shareable link. Private just means only you can see it. You can change your mind anytime:

One thing worth knowing: you can only keep 2 private courses at once, after that, older ones need to go public or be replaced before you can save a new private one. Public courses don't count against that limit.

Browse what other people are learning on the Public Courses page. Found one you like? Click Take this course, it's added to your account, then open ChatGPT to work through it, same as any course you created yourself.

Every bit of progress earns points automatically, no separate step:

Streaks: learning on consecutive days builds a streak, and your streak boosts every point you earn, up to 2x once you hit a 21-day streak. Miss a day and the streak resets, but your points stay put.

Leaderboard: ranked by total points. You start under an auto-generated anonymous handle, never your real name or email by default, but you can change your display name anytime from your dashboard. You're on the leaderboard by default; opt out either in chat or from the same dashboard settings.

At certain moments, finishing a course, hitting a milestone, taking someone else's public course, Endless U generates a shareable card with your progress on it. You'll get a link you can post anywhere.
